Log 7: Would You Name Your Child Fanny? I Didn't Think So

Hi, I'm growing plants and documenting their progress, and this is Log 7.

Hey, look at that, I'm writing this only a day late! Impressive. I'll try to name a few more plants today. I don't have much hope for the plants right now, the storms really affected them. Okay I'll get into it straightaway now.

Aster A "Abraham Sausage Linkoln" - 14", grew 0.25", growth per day for the week (which I call gr for growth rate)=0.03125" per day. The photo shows a lot of the damage it got, even though it did grow a little.

Aster B "Beef Jerky" - 13", grew 1", GR=0.125" per day. Also damaged, of course, but plenty of growth, which was pretty surprising, considering the state of the other plants.

Aster C - 10.5", lost 0.5".  Definitely got hit hard. This one was small when I got it, so it seems like it's always been a bit more sensitive. I don't know if the leaf I found is from this plant, but it was in its pot. I took a photo of it.

Aster D - 10", lost 1.5". Not great. A lot of leaves are all bent.

Aster E - 13", lost 0.25". Actually I'm kind of happy with this one. It only lost a little, and it looks still pretty full and healthy-ish.

Yarro F "Fanny Pack" - Survived the storms well. there's another new baby sprout I found, too (pictured). I named her Fanny Pack (Fanny for short), because I guess it felt fitting to me.

Yarro G - 4.5", lost 1". The one leaf that was tall got bent, so that's sad. Ah well.

Yarro H "Not Me" - It's the same as always, no photo. There's never anything interesting happening with this one. Okay, I just decided that I'll name it "Not Hannah" because at least it's actually consistent. I'm literally writing this a day late. Why is there no "H" in the name, you ask? My name starts with H, but I figured it's smart not to put it in here. I don't know.

Yarro I - 5.5", same as always.

Strawberry J "Jam" - 5", grew 0.5". I didn't bother with a GR because I figured this would be as tall as it gets, right? Don't think I need to. Obviously I have to name this one Jam. It's too perfect. I'd been thinking about this name the moment I called it Strawberry J. No photo, but Jam is doing A-okay!

Strawberry K - I think it's pretty much the same, so no photos!

Poppies L - Oof, I always thought I could rely on the poppy seeds doing fine, but not right now. Things are not looking so swell over here. There's no photo because there isn't much to see. I had left all the plants in a more exposed area, and they didn't like it, especially the poppies. I should have known they were too delicate to be left in the storm. Anyway, I could only find two of the babies, besides two other weeds in there, which I plucked. It's probable that most of them just got buried under the dirt, so I've moved the pot to a more covered spot. Hopefully there, they can be able to recover, and resurface.

Okay, so I've moved a few of the pots with delicate plants. I'll see next week how they do. And I named three plants today, I wonder what Mary would think of them.
