Log 6: Let's Pretend Like I Posted This Last Week, When I Was Supposed To Post :)
Hi, I'm growing plants and documenting their progress so this is Log 6, let's go.
Hello there, lots of storms again. I'm sure a few of them have grown, but some may not have been able to withstand the strong wind and heavy rain. I won't blabber on today, because I just wanted to bless all you non-existent readers. Give you a little gift. Another gift for today, I'm going to name two of these suckers. So a few of those you'll see. Okay okay I swear that's it.
Aster A "Abraham Sausage Linkoln" - 13.75", lost 0.5". That's not great but honestly I'm okay with it because it's still my tallest aster. I'm naming this one Abraham for that reason, and threw in a little pun after. Sausage link. Lincoln. yeah. No photo.
Aster B "Beef Jerky" - 12", grew 0.5", growth rate per day for the week (gr is what i'm calling it)=0.07142857" per day! not bad at all. I'm calling this one Beef Jerky because they are similar. For me, eating beef jerky is hit or miss. Too spicy or too tough, occasionally hits the mark. This aster also gives me trouble, but it just needs some extra TLC. in the pic, you can see the leaves took some damage.
Aster C - 11", grew 1", gr=0.14285714" per day. it's probably because of this one leave that suddenly stuck up, it's in the photo.
Aster D - 11.5", grew 0.5", gr=0.07142857" per day. that's good, but dang those leaves are cronchy. no, not crunchy. cronchy.
Aster E - 13.25", grew 0.75", gr=0.10714286" per day. I see you, aster e. that's almost an inch right there. you can see new leaves in the pic.
Yarro F - she's basically same as always, and too short to measure. but i spy with my little eyes a brand new little sprig shooting up! (in photo)
Yarro G - 5.5", lost 0.5". yeah, I guess that short little growth spurt is nowhere to be seen now. oh well. at least it only lost what it just gained and not any more. no photo.
Yarro H - the same height, which is too short to measure. no photo.
Yarro I - 5.5", also the same.
Strawberry J - I think a few of the leaves are looking a bit taller, they look really nice and healthy. yay!
Strawberry K - I assume it's the same height. in the photo, i'm not sure if those two leaves I'm pointing at are new and coming out of the dirt, or if it just got buried by the storm a little.
Poppy Seeds L - again, too short to measure. There are a total of 7 sprouts in the pot. Some other green bits and pieces got blown into the pot, so don't be fooled by them. I think the two sprouts I suspected were weeds last time are indeed weeds. I also pulled out a different one that was definitely a weed, it's the 1st pic. 2nd pic isn't a weed, it's just a bit shriveled. 3rd pic is one of those suspected weeds I mentioned. I'll probably pluck those in 1-2 weeks.
Those're all the plants I got, so I'm done for today! Okay, so now we can stop pretending I'm writing this on time. I was supposed to post this a week ago, and I have to write another log tomorrow. Yep. Okay, bye.
