Log 3: It's Never A Good Thing When The Plants You Got From A Lady Named Mary Are Crispier Than Pringles

Greetings. Today's report is a bit sad, but will get happier at the end. Thinking about my asters makes me feel absolutely miserable. There will probably not be a lot of growth rates for this week, because a lot of my asters have shrunk. I know. I got too comfortable relying on the rainy weather to do the watering for me. Recently the rain has stopped. The asters are pretty dry, so I think that must be why they got smaller. They are crispier than a Pringles chip. Okay, maybe that was an exaggeration and maybe I'm a bit hungry, but you get the deal. Actually, it was just a couple brown leaves on a few of the plants. Still, not a good thing to see on your 3rd week of plant-sitting. Overall they looked okay, although keep in mind the photos I took of the asters are focusing on the bad leaves, so looks worse than it actually is. I'M STILL VERY SAD THOUGH. (ToT) that's a crying face. so you know.

I don't have many photos today. And I'm not spoiling the good news that will come later on in this post!

Aster A - 12.5", so it's the same height as last week... still did better than the next ones... also part of it got pppretty crispy, as you can see in the photo.

Aster B - 11.5"!!! It lost an inch! But it was doing so good last week... I'm miserable! Other than that, looked healthy-ish and didn't have brown parts.

No photo!

Aster C - 10". It lost half an inch. UGH! Like Aster B, though, it looked okay so no photos either.

No photo!

Aster D - 10.25". So I believe it lost 1.75 inches.. ACK! THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS! My ego is tremendously hurt. I really need to up my gardening skills. Don't hate meee!!

Aster D, I dislike you right now.

Aster E - 11"                                                                              It lost an inch. Blegh. But there was only one brown leaf, and didn't look too bad. Had weird bumps on that leaf, not sure what it is.

Yarro F - Looked fine as always, thankfully. The poppy babies were multiplying, too. At least I could be happy with that.

Yarro G, H, and I were all fine, no inches lost or gained. (5.5", 4.5", and 5.5" in that order)

No photo!

Both strawberry plants were fine (whew!)

No photo!

Poppy L - WOOHOOOO!!!! WE GOT SOME SPROUTS, EVERYBODY!!! Finally, something positive. I counted 3 little poppies, and there's probably more babies hiding under the soil. One of them (2nd pic) was a bit brown, but still standing! and the other two were doing good! YAYYY :D

Aaaand that's all the photos I got.

I will admit I am a bit of a procrastinator. And it is a major challenge for me to walk outside and travel a whopping total of approximately 20 feet to get to the plants. So I don't check on them as much as I should, other than Sundays. I need to get more consistent with that, so I can take care of the plants better. In conclusion, I REALLY GOTTA GET IT TOGETHER.

Sorry that this post is a bit boring and sad, but I am very pleased with the progress on the poppies. As for the asters, I think they are resilient and are just going through a rough patch. And I want to learn from this, so it won't be so bad in the future. I hope to come back with better news next week. Goodbye!

P.S i sincerely apologize to Mary for almost maybe killing the plants.
